3. Educational and Other Documents

Documents uploaded during registration are initially treated as self-declared information.

Submission or acceptance of a document by the system does not mean that IGNITE has independently authenticated, certified or verified the document unless IGNITE expressly communicates otherwise.

IGNITE may subsequently seek additional information or verification where reasonably required for a particular program, opportunity or purpose.

4. Date of Birth and Birthday Recognition

Where date of birth is collected, it will be maintained as private registration information and will not ordinarily be displayed publicly.

Where a member separately and voluntarily provides consent for birthday recognition, IGNITE may display or publish the member's name only as part of birthday greetings or recognition on the relevant date.

The member's full date of birth, year of birth and other private registration information will not be published as part of such birthday recognition.

5. Scholarships, Institutional Support and CSR

Students may voluntarily indicate interest in scholarships or related opportunities.

Institutions may provide information regarding educational, developmental or CSR-support requirements, and CSR partners may provide information regarding areas in which they are interested in supporting or collaborating.

Such information may be used to identify potential connections and facilitate communication. IGNITE does not guarantee funding, scholarship, approval, partnership or successful completion of any proposed transaction or initiative.

6. Sharing of Information

IGNITE does not intend to sell personal registration information.

Information may be shared only where reasonably necessary for legitimate IGNITE activities, including with:

  • technology and service providers used to operate the platform;
  • educational institutions, program partners or CSR partners where relevant to a program or opportunity and where appropriate;
  • professional or operational advisers where reasonably necessary; or
  • governmental, regulatory or legal authorities where disclosure is required by applicable law.

Where practical, only information relevant to the particular purpose should be shared.

7. Public Information

Membership in IGNITE does not mean that all registration information becomes public.

IGNITE may publish limited information connected with activities, achievements, programs, events, recognition or opportunities where appropriate and subject to applicable permissions.

Sensitive registration information such as personal contact details, complete date of birth and uploaded certificates is not intended for general public publication.

8. Communications

Members may receive essential administrative communications relating to registration, Membership IDs, security, programs for which they have registered, or important changes affecting their relationship with IGNITE.

Separate consent may be requested for broader IGNITE updates, opportunities and promotional communications.

Where such communications are optional, users may request that they be discontinued by contacting IGNITE.

9. Data Storage and Third-Party Platforms

IGNITE currently uses technology services that may include Google Blogger, Google Apps Script, Google Sheets, Google Drive, Gmail and other Google services for website operation, registration processing, document storage and communications.

Use of such services may also be subject to the applicable terms and privacy practices of the respective service providers.

As IGNITE develops, additional or replacement technology platforms may be introduced.

10. Data Security

IGNITE intends to take reasonable organisational and technical precautions appropriate to the nature of the information being handled.

However, no internet transmission, cloud platform or electronic storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Users should therefore avoid submitting information that is not requested or reasonably necessary for the relevant purpose.

11. Data Accuracy

Users are responsible for providing accurate, current and authentic information.

Users should inform IGNITE where material registration information requires correction or updating.

IGNITE may correct, restrict, suspend or remove records where information is found to be inaccurate, fraudulent, misleading or submitted in violation of applicable terms.

12. Retention

Personal information may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary for membership administration, the relevant program or purpose, legitimate record-keeping, dispute resolution, security, legal obligations or other lawful purposes.

Information that is no longer reasonably required may be deleted, anonymised or archived, subject to applicable legal and operational requirements.
